Only Ta Ra Rum Pum can save Bollywood now. After the only hit of the year so far, Namastey London, all the new releases have fallen flat. Last weeks Shaka Laka Boom Boom and Provoked are the latest victims of this box office disaster season.

Shaka Laka Boom Boom, in spite of carrying good reports into the first weekend, couldn't sustain beyond the third day where the collections took a giant nosedive and have not yet shown any signs of recovery. The overseas market seems to be the only hope for the producer of making any profits, but even that too is a bleak prospect.
Provoked, starring Aishwarya hardly got an opening or a word of mouth at the box office. Never expected to do great things, such a poor showing was definitely what was being forecast. It has almost no chance of recovery. Coming up for release during these highly slippery times are Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi and Bheja Fry. Two out-of-the-ordinary films trying to make their mark. Will they be able to, or will they too fall along with the pack of cards. Wait and watch.
