Akshay Kumar's 100th film, Joker, has opened to below-par collections as the first two days did not show much growth. Till now, the movie has netted around 9.50 crores. Though the movie has received a good satellite rights price, the theatrical business isn't promising by any means.
This move, targeted at the kids, follows a highly successful 2012 for Akshay Kumar who has had two huge successes this year, so far. But Joker joins the list of his flops like Action Replay, Patiala House and Desi Boyz.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger has neared the 180 crores net mark and has turned out to be the film with the highest distributor share in Bollywood history. It crossed the distributor share of Three Idiots in just two weeks though the final collections might turn out to be around 8% lesser than the Aamir Khan starrer.
