TEMPER MOVIE REVIEW
Release Date : Feb 13,2015Review by : Behindwoods Review Board
Puri Jagannadh took the Telugu film industry by surprise with Pokkiri. The industry got bifurcated with two eras, before and after Pokkiri. The film is till date an example for how an entertaining movie has to be made. With lots of success to his credit, Puri pairs with Junior NTR this time for an action-drama laced around a cop story, where the cop never dons the Khaki.
With nothing much to talk about the story, Puri has also not troubled us to explain about Temper's screenplay either. Writer Vakkantham Vamsi, having contributed his creativity to films like Kick, has taken the responsibility a little less in Temper. Except for Junior NTR's intro sequence shot in high speed, and the tense moments in the climax, Temper keeps testing your temper. One appreciable thing about the film is, there are no needless exaggerations and illogical fight portions for the hero.
Special credits to Puri for sticking to the foundation of the story and not induce some footage-consuming comical elements. Known for applause creating dialogues, Temper lacks the punch and the force Puri films generally possess. Somebody like Junior NTR, who is one of the very few actors to articulate the authentic Telugu dialect, is just made to shout at the top of his voice to show his anger and valour.
The story of an orphan, who wants to be a corrupt cop, is Temper. Rather than being a conversation based film, extra attention on the screenplay would have added some depth to the simple story, so as to create an impact among the audience. Temper attracts attention only when Junior NTR fights or dances. Kajal Aggarwal is the prototype heroine here. She will come into the frame either to shake a leg with Junior NTR or hug him and cry. Whenever Prakash Raj comes on screen, there is a disclaimer. He either drinks or smokes throughout the film.
When you lose the patience, that's when the story starts getting tighter and racier. But it's too late. Even with somebody like Junior NTR to lead, it will still be an ordinary film only, if it has an ordinary story to narrate. A thin one-liner made into a film with underused artists and a disengaging screenplay! Thanks to the well-known faces, reasonable songs and Junior NTR's dance, Temper becomes bearable.
The technical department have done their part but Temper fails to impress. It's another Telugu film that'll soon be just an event and not an experience.
Verdict: Another ordinary outing for Junior NTR !
