''I WAS ABOUT TO QUIT CINEMA'' - PRIYA ANAND

Priya Anand is one of the young actresses who has done a handful of films in various languages like Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. She debuted in the Tamil film Vaamanan and attained pan-Indian reach after her performance in the Hindi film, English Vinglish. She is currently awaiting the release of her next Tamil film, Kootathil Oruthan, which also stars Ashok Selvan.

In a recent meeting with the press for Kootathil Oruthan, Priya has given out a shocking news that she was almost about to quit acting films at one point. This is what she had to say, ''When I first heard the story for this movie, I was not accepting many offers as I was going through a lot of personal issues and was considering the option of quitting cinema and doing something else. But then I found this story to be very positive, and it had a strong message, so I definitely wanted to be a part of it.''
