This is a week of good news for Vijay fans. The Mersal teaser that released, yesterday 21st of September for Atlee's birthday has clocked 10 Million views in less than 24 hours. This teaser is the fastest to cross 10 million views for any Tamil film till now.
This 75 seconds teaser looks to have satisfied all Vijay fans. Mersal teaser is already the most liked teaser in the world with over 7 lakh likes.
So will Mersal set a new benchmark regarding overall visits for a teaser? There is a good chance for that to happen given the way the visits are piling up.

Mohanlal's Villain to release for Diwali on the 19th of October. Vishal has also played a pivotal role in this Malayalam film. Vijay's Mersal would be releasing on the 18th. So Mersal would have a tough competitor at Kerala box office.
It must be noted that this is the 3rd time Vijay-Vishal films are releasing at the same time. The previous occasions were:
Pokkiri - Thaamirabharani (2007 Pongal)
Kaththi - Poojai (2014 Diwali)
