Yenni Thunniga is a Tamil crime action film written and directed by S.K.Vettri Selvan. Jai, Athulya leads the film while Vamshi Krishna, Sunil, Vidya Pradeep, Marimuthu forms the supporting cast. The film is produced by Suresh Subramanian under the banner, Rain of Arrows entertainment.

Kathiravan, an IT employee leading a simple life is dragged into the world of crime when his girlfriend becomes a victim of a heist. He decides to run behind the trail to nab the criminals unaided. Will he be successful in his pursuit of the plot?

Jai shines in the role of Kathiravan shedding love in the first half and drowning in revenge in the latter part of the film. Athulya comes in as a typical heroine playing the role of Narmadha. Sunil scores as the know-all evil politician. Anjali Nair sidelined all the other performances deserving a special mention. The other cast members are just required for the plot to unfold.

The non linear screenplay pays off in the first half of the film. Dialogues hit the right note occasionally leaving us with the cliched utterances for most part. Sunil invokes laughter with his outlandish behaviour. Jai outsmarting the rogues works in bits.

The film has two songs which don't make any mark in the mind while the background score gets into your head. Sam CS uses a particular musical cue throughout the film which sticks to us. Cinematography by Dinesh Kumar captures only the drama but not the world of Yenni Thuniga. Sabu Joseph edits the film trying to achieve coherence in a fragmented script.

The second half of the film diverges into directions going haywire. Once delving into the stretched second half, the film becomes a tedious watch. Though the script has ample twists and turns it does not materialise in the making. The film builds anticipation in its initial exposition but fails to capitalize on it. In the pursuit of finding the criminals the film leans onto the usual templates of running, chasing, firing just like the old times.
