Kuppi director Ramesh’s Vana Yuddham, caught in a legal tussle for a long time, is a biopic on how Veerappan was hunted down. Excellent research and thorough performances by its leads make the movie a gripping watch.

The Veerappan biopic about the once-dreaded forest brigand’s life and his death at the hands of the Tamil Nadu Police, is directed by Ramesh of movies like Kuppi. The movie has excellent performances by Arjun and Kishore but it had to endure numerous tussles before it was released.
