The entire film industry just broke down after hearing the sad news of one of the finest actors, Irrfan Khan who passed away today on April 29 due to colon infection. He was rushed yesterday to a hospital in Mumbai, where he was in the ICU and undergoing the treatment for the same. He had been battling neuroendocrine tumour.
Best known for his performance in films like ‘Maqbool’ and ‘Piku’, Irrfan won a National Award for his powerful acting in sports drama, Paan Singh Tomar. He was also globally recognised for his performance in films like Slumdog Millionaire, Inferno and Life of Pi.
Irrfan’s last project was Angrezi Medium, which was released on March 13, this year. The film’s run was affected due to the closing of theatres following the Coronavirus lockdown, and has been released in the OTT platform.
