1962 SINO-INDIAN WAR

India and China fought a war in 1962 on the disputed Himalayan border in which Indian posts and patrols were removed from Aksai Chin, a high-altitude desert of Himalayas. The war ended on 20th November 1962 with China declaring a ceasefire. Aksai Chin is still a disputed area between China and India.
