 Here is the list of directors who can be placed in the holy grail of Kollywood filmmaking. The list of filmmakers who have directed two of the biggest superstars of Tamil cinema, Thalapathy Vijay and Thala Ajith Kumar.

The blockbuster directed made his debut with Dheena, the Ajith-starrer gangster film. This film gave the moniker 'Thala' to the star. The director continued with his successful streak with actor Vijay post the 2012 film Thuppakki. The director went on to collaborate with the star in films like Kaththi and the 2018 political-action film Sarkar.
