Maheshinte Prathikaaram, the directorial debut of Dillesh Pothan, the Fahadh Faasil starrer was produced by director Aashiq Abu. It was a simple movie with characters resembling normal people. The marvelous portrayal by each artist helped the audience to easily relate with every character. This pulled in many families and thus resulted in the movie becoming a blockbuster despite the dull opening. The cinematography by Shyju Khalid elevated the richness and scenic beauty of the greenish mountains in Idukki. The soulful music by Bijibal filled every mind with nostalgia.
