It’s a  folk number to start with from Yuvan for Sathriyan! Sung by Deepak in Vivek’s lyrics. The peak’s have been well sung by Deepak. A simple beat in a Yuvan style rhythm and tune. The harmonies by Sethil Dass, Sam and Bellyraj are good too. A pleasant folk number that seems like a celebration among a group of friends.

 

Paarai Mele

A melody by YSR fantasising the hero’s love. Yuvan’s forte to portray his voice and it works in tandem with the song. Good move by Yuvan to sing it himself! The Veena by Devi is impressive and the instrumental play in the latter half of the song becomes the highlight of this high intensity melodious number. However, the song ends abruptly leaving you craving for a better finish nevertheless an authentic song.

Maina Rendu

Lyrics : Vairamuthu
 

Vijay Yesudas lends his vocals for Maina Rendu. Again it is an instrumental feast thanks to the use of Irish flute and the accordion. Vairamuthu’s lyrics have both the rhyme and meaning doing justice to this relatively fast paced pathos song which also takes the track of an inspirational number.
 

Sathriyan in Action - Theme 
 

A high octane theme to finish this short album by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The use of Synthesizer instrument  is heard throughout and is a good addition. For a theme, it does not haunt but has a decent finish to it.
