Aari, Shubha Phutela and Subbu Panchu star in this lyrically titled romantic film that is directed by Narayanan Nagendra Rao. Although the concept is novel, the director fails to cash in on the premise.
The movie is still being shown in a few multiplexes in the city and is attracting the college-going crowd.
Music by Achu seems to be one of the few attractions for MPM.

Directed by Narayan Nagendra Rao and starring a bunch of new comers including Aari, Shubha Phutela and Subbu Panchu, Maalai Pozhuthin Mayakathile attempts to picture a simple love story between a couple in a coffee shop on a rainy evening.
Average collections reported on the opening weekend, thanks to the urban audience and the multiplex goers.
Except the good visuals and the nice music, or despite that, the movie has nothing much going for it. A taut screenplay could have helped.
