IRUDHI SUTTRU MOVIE RELEASE EXPECTATION

Maddy aka Madhavan is back with his latest Tamil/Hindi bilingual boxing drama Irudhi Suttru which is all set to release this Friday, the 29th of January. His last Tamil film was Vettai which was released 4 years back. Apart from Madhavan, Irudhi Suttru features the likes of Ritika Singh, Nassar, Radha Ravi, Kali Venkat, Mumtaz Sorcar amongst others.

 

Irudhi Suttru is expected to portray an interesting warmth of a relationship between a boxing coach and an aspiring boxer. Madhavan plays the role of a boxing coach while Ritika Singh, a real life boxer and this film’s female lead, plays the role Maddy’s protégé. 

 

Sudha Kongara Prasad, a former associate of Mani Ratnam wields the directorial hat for this flick. She has earlier directed a Tamil film Drohi which had Srikanth and Vishnu Vishal in the lead roles. Sivakumar Vijayan handles the cinematography department and Santhosh Narayanan takes care of the music department. Santhosh’s songs have garnered some great response among music lovers specially ‘Ey Sandakaara’ is turning out to be favourite.

 

Irudhi Suttru is produced by Sashikanth’s Y NOT Studios in association with CV Kumar’s Thirukamaran Entertainment while the Hindi version is be co-funded by Madhavan alongside the famous 3 Idiots director Rajkumar Hirani.

 

Though the film has generated some good pre-release word of mouth generated from the sleekly cut trailer and the instantly accessible songs it will have stiff competition. Yes it will be locking horns with Sundar C’s super successful horror-comedy franchise Aranamani 2. Let us hope both films do good business without eating each and others share.
