Dhanush's first film with Hari is no less than
a commercial masala potboiler, done neatly however
by the director. There is everything; love,
family sentiment, heinous villain and some stunts
thrown in for good measure. Unlike Hari's other
movies, Vengai's songs couldn't catch the fancy
of his fans.
