Looks like the influx of movies set against
the backdrop of Madurai is not over as yet.
Thoonganagaram is one such movie and revolves
around a bunch of friends who gets into trouble
with a village kingpin, who in turn sets out
to seek vengeance. Vimal is fresh after the
surprise success of the sleeper hit Kalavani
but he has nothing to write home about in Thoonganagaram.
