Two releases, one not so impressive while the other managed to pass muster. Not a report card that Ilaya Thalapathi would be too proud of himself. But, that does not take anything away from the huge following that he commands and sheer energy that he brings to the screen. If there is man in Kollywood who can effortlessly carry off a full length mass entertainer, it has to be Vijay. His 50th film which is sure to release this year might put him back on the blockbuster list.
