The fact that Silambarasan and Nayan were dating while shooting for Vallavan contributed to the zing factor of their onscreen kiss. It was raw and fervently rustic. Yet it made headlines, mainly for the reason that it was blown up into hoardings and posters decorating the skylines of Chennai, even before the movie was kicked off. If that made headlines, Silambarasan’s smooches (quite a few indeed) with Trisha for VTV are not being talked about so much. Thanks to Gautham, they were placed rather appropriately in the movie and do not seem contrived.
