KS Ravikumar’s sentimental ode to friendship, Natpukkaga was about two friends (Sarath Kumar and Vijayakumar) who were from different social backgrounds but thicker than thieves nevertheless. Their friendship has to weather the storm of treachery and misunderstanding which takes a lot out of them but through it all they remain close and in the end they even die together. A tad overdone, but strangely stirring.
