SP Jananathan’s Iyarkai went on to win a National award and it was proof if any was needed that here was a valuable inclusion to the Tamil film industry. Starring Shyam, Arun Vijay, and an unknown Radika, Iyarkai told a story about the eternal love triangle. Full of poignant emotions and a gentle insight into human nature, it was a charming little film that is one for the ages.
