In
real life, the director is often the hero of the film
as he is the one who brings it to life. But the actors
walk away with the lion’s share of praise as
they become the face of the film. A few directors
have turned the tables on actors by donning the greasepaint
and daring to play ball on their court by taking over
in front of the camera. This experiment has had mixed
results with some suggesting that a director should
stick to what he does best whereas others have been
more appreciative.
Let us take a look at popular directors turned actors
and see how they have fared. |
