In Kadhal Konden, Vinod played by Dhanush is a wonderfully complex person with a terrible past. The demons trapped within his soul eat away at the genius of his mind and leave nothing but darkness and obsession behind. Even his love becomes tainted by the past. This was only his second film but Dhanush performed like a veteran and it remains one of his finest portrayals.
