Ajmal took a huge chance with his first film in Tamil. Kiruba definitely had shades of grey. The character was jealous, petty and vengeful. And yet even when he has crossed the point of no return he fights for redemption. It was a moving depiction and worthy of the appreciation Ajmal received.
