Vetri Maaran is a great believer in team work. Being the good sport and even better captain he is, the man makes sure his unit functions like a championship winning sports team with everyone carrying out the job assigned to him or her and in sync with the rest of the team. He spends hours talking to his assistants and explaining his vision to them. Working with him is supposed to be an education in itself. Vetri Maaran is also very hands – on and even acts out scenes for the actors to show them how it needs to be done.

The national – award winning director also has a reputation for being modest and mild – mannered. In fact on winning the national award for his second film, he said in typical self – deprecating style that the credit goes to his team.
