STR’s Yevan di Unna Pethan Song in Vaanam for which he penned the lyrics caused a women’s rights group to haul him over the coals for being disrespectful to women. STR maintained his silence and allowed the issue to die a natural death. The song meanwhile went on to become a smash hit.
