This is a typical Vadivelu caper with Murali for company. It is supposed to start early in the morning with a slightly cranky lady creating a ruckus. Soon, the whole village is after them with sticks, stones and knives. The two keep running in separate directions but keep knocking into each other going around in circles. Vadivelu’s frequent ‘running’ commentaries of his travails from morning are the highlights of the scene. The ‘Sollave Illa’ dialogue he delivers with his head popping out of a hut is a Vadivelu special. The chase ends in a typical slapstick fashion with Vadivelu injuring himself grievously.
