The man is practically an institution for acting. And he has won more awards and honors than even he can probably remember. Taking a head start, he won the National award for best child artiste in the film, Kalathur Kannamma. He then went on to win three awards in the best actor category for Moondram Pirai, Nayagan, and Indian. His film, Devar Magan won the award for best feature film. Not surprisingly, he holds the record for most number of National awards for acting.
