Sarath’s double act (with a newfound fondness for French Beard, of course), Namitha and Farzana’s seemingly irrepressible plumpness and Vivek’s comedy – 1977 might seem that it has some promising things in store. Sadly the thought doesn’t last longer and the movie falls flat.
