like the year 2008 hasn’t been a good
start for the movies. A close look at the

movie-going public. While big ventures failed
to evoke the expected response at the ticket
counters, the box office buzzed with activity

As many as 26 movies hit the theatres during
the four months of the year 2008, both,
big and small in size. Pongal witnessed
half a dozen releases and sadly none of
them received patronage from the public.
Bheema and Pazhani joined the average league
while the others sank without a trace.
