After Gentleman, Shankar and Jeeva came together once again for Kadhalan, which marked the debut of Prabhu Deva as a mainstream hero. Shankar used his creativity in the song sequences and Jeeva had a main role to play here. His contribution, especially in 'Urvasi' and 'Kadalikkum Pennin' songs is laudable. His creativity reached a high pitch in the Muquala song and in the Chidambaram Natyanjali scene wherein he used the crane to capture all the dancers dancing at the time - must must be seen to be believed.
