There could be no second thoughts on Raghuvaran’s prowess in playing the crooked baddie onscreen. A dad? And a loving one at that? Him? Where others would have had umpteen questions, director Balasekharan dared Raghuvaran’s past credentials to portray a wonderful father in him. His father act to Vijay made young fans long for those qualities in their dad. How many of us are gifted to have a dad with whom one can discuss their love affairs, to down a drink or two when their spirits are down, and entertain all our dozen friends? Raghuvaran made it possible and that’s why he figured in our list.
