IT’S 3 YEARS NOW, WAS IT JILLA OR VEERAM?

It’s been 3 years now. 3 years since, a rare feat happened in Kollywood. As we know, Vijay and Ajith are the most sought after stars with a huge fan base thanks to the healthy competition that they have shared. Seldom do their films release together on a festive occasion and even if they do, rarely do both of them turn out to become winners.

But in 2014, Vijay’s Jilla and Ajith’s Veeram stormed the theatres worldwide. Both the films became successful outings for the two stars. It was on this same day, January 10th that all Kollywood fans celebrated and thronged the theatres to catch up with both the films. An extraordinary Pongal that saw a memorable, unforgettable clash indeed.

This year, it happens to be only Vijay’s biggie Bairavaa, with Vijay Sethupathi’s Puriyatha Puthir and Parthiban’s Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga in theatres. Ajith fans however, shall eagerly await the stylish AK57 from Siva, which is expected to release in June 2017.

Can we expect another such rarity again?
