Ace filmmaker, Gautham Menon had recently directed the short film ‘Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn’, which is a sequel to his 2010 movie ‘VTV’. The short film had STR and Trisha reprising their favourite characters ‘Karthik’ and ‘Jessie’. The movie received a good response from the audience.
The director had last directed the 2019 film ‘Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta’ and has a number of projects lined up in his pipeline - ‘Joshua: Imai Pol Kaaka’ and ‘Dhruva Natcathiram’. He also had revealed that he is penning down the script of ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu 2’.
Meanwhile, GVM is also busy with his anthology film based on honor killing with Sudha Kongara, Vetrimaaran and Vignesh Shivan also directing other episodes. Reports were rife that young hero Ashwin Kakumanu is playing the lead role in the episode directed by Gautham Menon.
Ashwin has now taken to his social media and has clarified the rumours, “Wanted to say that while I look forward to the opportunity of working with @menongautham again, I am not part of his anthology for @NetflixIndia. I think it was confused with my role in the Telugu anthology for #Netflix. Hope this clarifies things.”
