Actor Vetri's 'Jiivi', directed by VJ Gopinath and written by Babu Tamizh, was released in 2019. The film stars Vetri in the lead role, alongside an ensemble cast including Karunakaran, Monica Chinnakotla, Rohini, Ashwini Chandrashekar and Mime Gopi. The thriller movie opened to positive reviews and received great praise for Vetri's performance.

Sources in the now have revealed that 'Jiivi' is getting a sequel and that the actor-director duo is reuniting once again to make the second part of this hit movie. The movie is set to go on floors soon and the announcement regarding the movie and other details is expected to be announced soon.

Actor Vetri, who has previously worked in films like '8 Thottakkal' directed by Sri Ganesh and 'C/o Kaadhal' directed by Hemambar Jasti which was the Tamil remake of Telugu hit 'C/o Kancherapalem', is currently working on 'Theenkirai' directed by Prakash Raghavadass.
