He's still one of the most sought-after stars in the Kollywood industry.
The ace-actor who's playing a crucial role in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus project 'Ponniyin Selvan', has reportedly shed 20 kgs for the historical drama. Prabhu has always had a chubby look in his younger days and fans have always seen the actor in the same look. Actor Rahman, who's also acting in the film, posted a picture a few weeks back with Prabhu where he was seen working hard in the gym to shed the extra kilos.
Prabhu's new slimmed-down look has stunned fans and many took to social media to appreciate his hard work and dedication. 'Ponniyin Selvan' is the actor's fourth venture with Mani Ratnam after 'Agni Natchathiram' (1988), 'Anjali' (1990) and 'Raavanan' (2010).

Prabhu has also joined the sets of debutant A Vinoth Kumar upcoming film 'Vishal 32'. The yet-to-be-titled movie has Sunainaa as the female lead. Prabhu will be teaming up with Vishal for the third time. They had acted together previously in Hari's action drama Thamirabarani, in 2007, and Sundar C's action comedy Aambala, in 2015.
