Many are aware that initially Ajith was roped in for Vasanth’s Nerukku Ner, which starred Vijay as the parallel lead. However, due to date issues, he soon opted out and Suriya filled in for him, thus making his debut in the industry and lasting a good two decades and still up and running.
When Suriya had hosted Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi (NVOK) he had also shared about the incident and said in a lighter vein that it can be said that he’s in cinema because of Ajith. Here’s the video of the same:
As far as professional end of things are concerned, both stars are busy with their respective projects - Ajith with Valimai, directed by H Vinodh with whom he had previously collaborated with on Nerkonda Paarvai while Suriya has Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongara.
