''I WILL BE GOING TO NATIONAL LEVEL, NEXT YEAR'', RAMYA

Popular VJ Ramya had posted on her Twitter handle that she has won a bronze medal at the State Level power lifting championship. She tweeted, "It was tough,so many this time,fought hard n took bronze at the State Level Benchpress.Nextstop will be Nationals."

We caught up with her to know more about this. She said, "I participated in the district level competition last year. My fitness training coach insisted me to take part in the State-level championship, as he felt there are very less number of women participants in this sport. So, I decided to take part in the competition. It was a very good feeling when I got the bronze medal. A lot more participated in this game, and I feel, bronze medal, in itself, is a great achievement as I had to concentrate on my professional work too.

The last few days were very hectic, as I had to train up for the competition and do my hosting programs too. But at the same time, it was very challenging and exciting. More than me, many others take this weight lifting as life. It is more important for them. The National level competition for this year is going to happen in Jammu & Kashmir, but, unfortunately, I can't attend that. However, I will be going to the National - level competition, next year, that is 2018."
