Viswasam, Ajith's latest film to release, has been doing extremely well at the box office. The film which hit the screens for the Pongal weekend, has also received positive reviews almost everywhere. It had Nayanthara as the female lead, and Jagapathi Babu as the antagonist, while Robo Shankar, Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiah and others played crucial supporting roles.
Majority of the shoot took place in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, the producer, Thyagarajan of Sathya Jyothi Films revealed the reason why it is difficult to shoot an Ajith film in Chennai.
He said: "Shooting with Ajith in Chennai is a very difficult task. Whenever he comes out of his house, a lot of fans start following him on their bikes. Even the shooting spot becomes crowded. We shot Vivegam in Chennai, and hundreds of people flocked the location.
Even Ajith Sir doesn't like fans getting hurt. So, asking for police protection is ruled out. We thought it would be best to shoot in a silent area. We badly wanted to shoot the village portions of Viswasam here, but due to the above mentioned reasons, we shot in Pune and Hyderabad."
