The makers have announced that the film will release for the festive occasion of Diwali, and the film's censor certification process is expected to happen very soon.
 

Meanwhile, a section of media reported that this Vijay starrer will hit the screens on November 2 (Friday), ahead of Diwali to cash in the 5 day weekend, as the festival falls on a Tuesday (November 6). However, when we checked with our sources, they strongly denied the rumour and added that the team is planning to release Sarkar on November 6th on the day of Diwali.
