Starring Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Shanthnu in pivotal roles, this multi-starrer is jointly produced by XB Film Creators and Seven Screen Studio. Initially scheduled for a release on April 9, Master's release was postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Recently, Rathna Kumar posted an emotional statement regarding the film's release. He tweeted, "#Master would have released by now if #CoronaOutbreak didn't happen. Can see lot of sad tweets, As a fan it hurts big. Pollution, Protests, Raid & now this. Anyway we will have the last laugh. Survival First."
Along with the tweet, Rathna Kumar posted a group selfie consisting of the film's cast and crew which was taken during the audio launch, and commented that the picture looks nostalgic. The Coronavirus crisis has stalled the release of several important worldwide, as film-based operations came to a standstill due to the pandemic.
