MASTER ACTOR'S EXCLUSIVE REVEAL: "FOR A SCENE, VIJAY HAD TO SLAP.." | ON-SET STORIES

Chetan will be playing a role in director Lokesh Kanagaraj's third directorial Master, which stars Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea and Arjun Das as leads. In a special interview to Behindwoods, the veteran talks about his experience working in the film.

Chetan heaped lavish praise on Lokesh Kanagaraj, with whom he had previously worked in Kaithi. He was impressed with the director's uncompromising vision. Chetan also told how he got the offer to act in Master "I was constantly pestering Lokesh (to be a part of Master) by telling him that he cheated me by giving a smaller, yet noticeable role in Kaithi.

It was an amazing experience (working in Master). We used to have a lot of preconceived notions about Vijay that he is a reserved and a moody person who speaks less. But despite that, he is very simple, and humble. He greets everyone in the sets, irrespective of the number of people."

Adding to that, Chetan recounted a shot from the film "For a scene, he (Vijay) had to slap an actor. While shooting the scene, the latter tripped and fell onto a table, due to which they went for another take. It was a lengthy scene and Vijay wasn't feeling very well during that shoot. But despite that, he was cooperative and encouraged his co-actor to perform well."

Chetan expressed that he is awaiting the release of Master for three reasons "Firstly, for Vijay's look in the film. He looks unbelievable and I was stunned by his makeover. Second of all is the combination between Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, which is extraordinary and I don't know how they (Master team) pulled it off. The third reason is Lokesh Kanagaraj. He is an excellent director."
