The ongoing lockdown meant that a lot of us had to see our favourite serials come to a halt and instead catch up on re-runs. However, now there is hope as Vijay TV has announced a new serial - Senthoora Poovey - to stream from June 8, from 9 pm onwards.

Senthoora Poovey is a romantic family drama and marks the entry of actor Ranjith, known for films like Pandavar Boomi, Beeshmar, Nesam Puthusu etc, into television.

The story revolves around Duraisingam a middle-aged (45) widower with respectable family background. He has two beautiful little daughters Kayal and Kani. After his wife, Aruna died, Duraisingam had not thought about a re-marriage. As circumstances change, Duraisingam ends up marrying Roja, his daughters' school teacher despite a big age difference between them. The story revolves around them trying to get along and finally fall in love with each other.

That’s not all! Vijay TV is all set to bring back all its original fiction shows from next week onwards. All-time favourites such as Pandian Stores, Bharathi Kannamma, Ayutha Ezhuthu, Thenmozhi B.A, Kaatrin Mozhi, Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar, etc., are coming back.
