Thalapathy Vijay is currently awaiting the release of his highly-anticipated film, Master. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film will feature Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi facing off each other for the very first time.

Post this film, Thalapathy Vijay will be next seen working in a yet-to-be-titled film which was being referred to as Thalapathy 65. It came to light only recently that director AR Murugadoss who had boarded to helm the project decided to opt out!

Produced by Sun Pictures, the pre-production work had already kickstarted and roped in SS Thaman as the music director. Earlier reports were floating that the actor would be teaming up with his blockbuster director Perarasu for the third time, but when Behindwoods got in touch with him, it just turned out to be baseless rumours.

Now, it has been learnt that the actor will be teaming up for the first time with one of the promising directors of Kollywood, Nelson Dilipkumar who is known for films like Nayanthara’s Kolamavu Kokila and Sivakarthikeyan’s Doctor which is yet to release.
