The sensational 2018 romantic drama 96 was remade by the director Prem Kumar in Telugu with Samantha and Sharwanand in the lead roles. Titled 'Jaanu', the film released recently. The movie also got a Kannada version which was directed by Preetham Gubbi.
Titled '99', actors Ganesh and Bhavana played the lead roles in the Kannada version and the film was popular music director Arjun Janya's 100th movie. Post that, the prominent music director had also composed for many projects including Sudeep's Pailwaan among others.
Reportedly, the music director suffered a mild heart attack recently and was taken to a hospital in Mysuru immediately. The doctor who is handling his treatment has assured that he is safe and under observation.
