Makkal Selvan, Vijay Sethupathi was last seen in Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Super Deluxe that had an ensemble cast that includes Fahadh Faasil, Samantha Akkineni, Ramya Krishnan in leading roles in separate segments while Mysskin, Gayathrie, Ashwanth Ashokkumar, and Bagavathi Perumal play supporting roles.
The actor is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Sindhubaadh that has Anjali in the lead. Directed by S.U.Arunkumar, the film also features the actor’s son, Surya Sethupathi. The father and son will be essaying the role of petty thieves in the film.
The actor has a number of biggies lined up in his pipeline and the latest addition to it is his next which has been tentatively titled as ‘VSP 33’ and it also happens to be his 33rd film. Written and directed by debutant Venkata Krishna Roghanth (former assistant of director S P Jhananathan), the film is produced by Esakki Durai under the banner of Chandra Arts.
For the very first time, Vijay Sethupathi will be seen sharing the screen space with Amala Paul. The shooting schedule has started today in Palani and in continuation, the team is heading to Ooty. With Roghanth being his assistant, Director S P Jhananathan inaugurated the shooting with a clap. Vijay Sethupathy sports a new role as a musician in this movie. Though the movie travels through the festive season of the year including Christmas and New Year, overflowing with Love and Music, it also strongly registers a bothering international issue at hand.
Besides the leading female pair, a foreigner is also in the lead. while the cinematography will be handled by Mahesh Muthuswamy, the cuts of the movie will be handled by Sathish Surya. The film’s music will be scored by Nivas K Prasanna. Stay tuned for more updates!
