PICHAIKAARAN OUTPERFORMS BAAHUBALI’S RECORD!

Baahubali was a massive hit all over India and it would be a difficult task for any movie including Baahubali 2 to break the records set by its predecessor. But Bichagadu, the Telugu dubbed version of Tamil Superhit film Pichaikaaran has achieved something unique in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana that even a direct humongous blockbuster flick like Baahubali could not achieve.

Bichagadu has crossed the magical 50 days in Tollywood in 200 centers. This is a commendable feat which even a direct Telugu film is finding it difficult to achieve.  Even by Return Of Investment analysis, Bichagadu is said to have performed better than Baahubali which makes it one of the most profitable dubbed Tamil films ever. Last week there was a success meet held at Prasad Labs, Banjara Hills where they had ostensibly disclosed the business break up of Bichagadu.

The Telugu dubbed version is said to have made a business of close to 20 crores

Satellite rights - 50 Lahks
Andhra - 7.9 crs
Ceded - 5.1 crs
Nizam - 5 crs

Bichagadu is still going strong and it would be interesting to see how far the film holds on!
