In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, he said that he's making a comeback after four years and noted that he feels exactly the same way he did when he started acting in films. "Next on line is Naai Sekar, a comedy entertainer with director Suraj of 'Thalainagaram' fame. I am acting as the hero as well as comedian in the movie," he said.
Recently Vadivelu celebrated his 61st birthday and fans poured wishes across all social media platforms. During a press meet arranged on the day, the ace-comedian said, "I've acted as a hero in only one or two movies after which I had no wish to take it up again. I didn't want to carry the whole weight of the movie on my shoulders."
Vadivelu, who was embroiled in a controversy surrounding the now-shelved 'Imsai Arasan 24am Pulikesi', written and directed by Chimbu Devan, strongly said that he will never act in a historical movie again. "This is a promise on Goddess Saraswati." The sequel to the superhit 'Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi' was in the works in 2017, came to a halt due to differences between the film’s team and the comedian.
The 'Vaigai Puyal' also clarified that he is not on any social media platforms."Don't think I am handling the account. I don't have anything to do with it," he said.
