Multi-faced Dhanush will be seen next on screen in Vetrimaran's 'Asuran'. The film stars Manju Warrier as the female lead and features Ken, Teejay and others in supporting roles. The audio launch of the film happened recently.
The film is produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under the banner V Creations and features G.V. Prakash Kumar's music after 'Aadukalam' with the same combo. The posters of the film had enthralled the audience, as the film achieved an authentic rural-vintage vibes from those pictures.
During Dhanush's speech in the audio launch, he said "Everywhere we go, the first question that they ask us is "Why Vada Chennai did not get National award?". The fact that everybody expected that film to get it just proves how it looked at by the audience."
"Yes, it is sad. Not because me or Vetrimaran did not get it. We've already got it back in 2010 and greedily we aren't expecting more. But Jackson worked very hard in the film. He was the one we thought who deserved to get it this time." said Dhanush
"We expected Mari Selvaraj for 'Pariyerum Perumal', Ram for 'Ratsasan' and 'Merku Thodarchi Malai' might get it. We are happy otherwise. We make films not for the awards, but the audience to love it." added Dhanush. Watch the full video below:
