BREAKING: BIGIL FOR THIS 'ASURA' NEWS; THALAPATHY 65 WITH DIRECTOR VETRI MAARAN?

After Asuran, the director was set to helm Soori as the lead in a project that will be bankrolled by Elred Kumar’s RS Infotainment. The ‘Vada Chennai’ director also signed the dotted line to direct a short film for a Netflix anthology film which will also comprise of short films directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, Vignesh Shivan and Sudha Kongara.

Recently, social media was rife with reports suggesting that Vetri Maaran might collaborate with actor Vijay for a project. Our sources have also speculated that the two might be teaming up for the actor’s next film Thalapathy 65. The other big news is Sun Pictures is expected to produce the film, but we need to wait for the official confirmation from the banner, who has recently announced a biggie with Dhanush. 

Thalapathy 65 shooting is expected to commence in the second half of 2020, post the release of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Thalapathy 64 and after Vetri Maaran completes his project with Soori. Stay tuned for more updates.
