About her beau, Vanitha says, "For those who are asking who is Peter Paul? he is a filmmaker by profession, a simple, caring, loving, and honest human being who stole my heart and made me fall head over heels in love with him."

Actress Vanitha began her journey with Chandralekha, in an acting debut opposite Vijay. Post this, she did films in languages Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu until 1999. Vanitha made a brief comeback to acting in Naan Rajavaga Pogiren, Summa Nachunu Irukku but went back to turn producer and made a film titled MGR Sivaji Rajini Kamal in 2015, directed by Robert. She produced the film under the Vanitha Film Production banner.
